Energy & Sustainability Specialist (h/f) - Genève

OM Pharma is investing in sustainable development projects, and we are recruiting an Energies & Sustainability Specialist at our biotech production site in Geneva. In this position you report to the Energies, Safety & Environment Manager and are part of a team of 4 people. Your mission is to develop all energy aspects in Geneva to meet the needs of new production equipment, in full alignment with our decarbonization plan.

Your main responsibilities are as follows:

  • Implement a monitoring system for the site's energy consumption
  • Develop the topology of the site's energy meters
  • Provide energy performance indicators (consumption and reject trending for utilities)
  • Monitor the production and the energy consumption (in coordination with the maintenance team)
  • Perform On-site energy audits, analysis of energy consumption and implementation of correctives actions for improving energy efficiency
  • Design, sizing, cost and commissioning of all types of energy-consuming systems (electricity, gas, water, compressed air, motors, buildings, lighting, photovoltaics, heat recovery, HVAC, etc.)
  • Draw up energy-saving action plans (decarbonization plan, planning, savings estimates, etc.)
  • Manage technical Sustainability projects

To carry out this mission, we are looking for a person with the following profile:

  • Engineer's or Master's degree in Energy Efficiency, Environment or experienced technician with excellent knowledge and experience in those areas
  • At least 3 years of experience in an industrial environment, knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry or similar regulated industry is an asset
  • Technical skills in various types of energy and utilities (refrigeration, compressed air, heat and electricity, air handling units)
  • Knowledge of SBTi and carbon footprint methodology would be an asset
  • Fully fluency in French with good knowledge in English
