Desktop Engineer - Support Level 1 and 2 - Financial sector

Our client is a financial company based in Geneva.

Description

  • Provide VIP support and Level 1 and 2 technical assistance.
  • Deliver on-site and remote support for both hardware and software, including depot and inventory management, and task tracking via ServiceNow.
  • Offer rapid response and advanced troubleshooting for trade-floor activities, ensuring support for desktops, VDI, and a wide range of technical issues, including phones (Cisco, iPhone, Android), networking, and remote access.
  • Support market applications such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and manage Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Exchange including tasks related to user accounts, permissions, access, distribution lists, and shared folder creation.
  • Configure and support meeting rooms, including VIP support for daily conferences, large meetings, and town halls.

Profile

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled IT support professional with a strong background in VIP and Level 1 and 2 technical support, both on-site and remotely. They will possess advanced troubleshooting skills, particularly in fast-paced environments such as trade floors, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve complex technical issues under pressure.

Key qualifications include:

  • Proficiency in supporting desktops, VDI, phones (Cisco, iPhone, Android), and a wide range of software, hardware, networking, and remote access issues.
  • Expertise in market applications
  • Solid experience with tools like ServiceNow for task tracking and depot management.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Exchange.
  • Proven ability to configure and support meeting room systems, including integration of Polycom devices and MS Teams, ensuring seamless coordination for events and conferences.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the capacity to create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, capable of delivering high-quality support to VIPs and other users in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.

This candidate will also demonstrate strong customer service and interpersonal skills, ensuring that both technical issues and user needs are addressed effectively and efficiently.
