Current space projects we are working on: Solar-C (JAXA), VIGIL (ESA NASA), TRUTHS (ESA)
Main tasks- Definition of mechanical and thermal interfaces
- Responsible mechanical engineer in the project team during development, manufacturing, assembly and testing
- Communication with external partners on technical aspects
- Background in mechanical engineering (FH/ETH/UNI)
- Experience in mechanical design and thermodynamics of instruments
- Experience in mechanical and thermal simulations (preferably with MSC Nastran/Patran)
- Experience with ESA or NASA design and QA guidelines
- Broad knowledge in relevant engineering fields (e.g. mechanics, electronics, optics, thermal engineering, materials technology, vacuum applications)
- Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Desirable Criterion
- Experience with ESA or NASA design and QA guidelines
- Languages: good German knowledge is an asset
