Current space projects we are working on: Solar-C (JAXA), VIGIL (ESA NASA), TRUTHS (ESA)

Main tasks
  • Definition of mechanical and thermal interfaces
  • Responsible mechanical engineer in the project team during development, manufacturing, assembly and testing
  • Communication with external partners on technical aspects
Essential Criterion
  • Background in mechanical engineering (FH/ETH/UNI)
  • Experience in mechanical design and thermodynamics of instruments
  • Experience in mechanical and thermal simulations (preferably with MSC Nastran/Patran)
  • Experience with ESA or NASA design and QA guidelines
  • Broad knowledge in relevant engineering fields (e.g. mechanics, electronics, optics, thermal engineering, materials technology, vacuum applications)
  • Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Desirable Criterion

  • Experience with ESA or NASA design and QA guidelines
  • Languages: good German knowledge is an asset
