Senior Core Banking Business Analyst (Strong Core Banking Financial Products knowledge & LifeCycle, Project Management)

The Business Analyst will take the lead and manage Core Banking projects, which include corporate actions processing, payments and settlement, and reconciliation systems as well as regulatory reporting of an International Investment Bank in Asia and Europe.

Job Description:

  • Analyze and structure projects and new requirements with stakeholders involved to propose the best way to deliver appropriate solutions.
  • Lead the elaboration of a functional solution with business stakeholders and concerned IT teams.
  • Lead, with the support of technical teams, the definition of the solution and the implementation roadmap.
  • Drive the definition of use cases for User Acceptance Test with end users.
  • Manage all the decision-making and analysis processes, including stages in designing, validating the solution, and getting necessary approvals in terms of architecture, IT risk and IT Security, budget and capacity planning.
  • Coordinate the implementation from a project management perspective.
  • Act as a point of contact for business users during the analysis and project phases.
  • Responsible for all standard end-to-end project management activities.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • At least 5 years of business analysis experience in Core Banking.
  • Strong knowledge of transaction capture, settlement, and account booking.
  • Must have in-depth Products' knowledge of Securities, Payments, Money Markets, Foreign Exchange, Credit, Derivatives and Structured Products, Commodities.
  • Strong knowledge of the Product lifecycles and Product Operations.
  • Experience in Regulatory Reporting, Reconciliation and Matching systems, Payment and Transaction settlement systems, such as SWIFT, SEPA.
  • Prior experience with project management tools and release management tools - ServiceNow, JIRA, PPM tools.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and VISIO.
  • Singapore Citizens are highly preferred.

We are looking for a suitable Senior Business Analyst to join a Finance Division for a multi-year project. The role is required to work closely with:

  • Group Finance team on the requirements finalization with new core banking system and mapping.
  • Vendor/consulting team on the data mappings and functionalities to align with Group Finance requirements.
  • Finance Head Office team in Europe who is the Product Owner.
  • Document Functional Specification and obtain business validation.
  • Users from Asia and Europe on requirements and UAT validation.
  • Strong knowledge in Accounting movement and Accounting scheme (GL) setup with Temenos/Transact knowledge, Liquidity management and Credit Risk Reporting (in order of priority).
  • Prior experience delivering Financial Accounting and regulatory projects with multiple sub-streams and source systems.
  • Strong Business Analysis experience.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with multiple teams and other stakeholders to maintain harmony.
  • Drive, organize all deliverables, monitor and track the progress to closure.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize workshops with respective stakeholders and assess business needs.
  • Perform study with the Group Finance and Vendor/consulting team to align on the requirements, data mappings and functionalities/scope.
  • Drive and plan the application impact analysis after Business workshop.
  • Ensure the functional mappings/data comply with local and Group expectations.
  • Document detailed business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Translate the requirements into non-functional specifications for technology teams to develop.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure a smooth transition to new systems.
  • Identify any bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to ensure seamless integration and development of the application or data interface flows.
  • Build and maintain the Backlog of requirements, transformations and adaptations.
  • Work with various stakeholders to implement the deliverables and to resolve challenges and issues.
  • Involvement in full development lifecycle, from Elaboration->Build->Transition->Production.
  • Adhere to IT Governance and guiding principles.
  • Consolidate business requirements and formal validation from sponsor/product owner.
  • Prepare migration and testing strategy consolidation and formal validation.
  • Coordinate with all teams, from the same division or other divisions, working on the same program.
