Company: Mercer Position: Consultant (m / f / d) – Compensation & Benefits / Rewards Location: Zurich, Switzerland Overview Mercer Switzerland is seeking a consultant to design competitive work structures, develop compensation systems, and create incentive programs that increase employee motivation and performance. The role involves consulting with leaders across various industries, leveraging data-driven insights to align rewards and talent strategies with business objectives. Responsibilities Partner with clients and deliver innovative consulting projects, including medium and large engagements with international exposure on topics such as Pay Equity, executive and employee compensation, job evaluation, organizational structure, performance management, and job architecture. Assist C‑suite HR, Talent, and Reward leaders through consultative selling, scoping needs, and designing compensation benchmarking, job architecture, and compensation programs. Collaborate with the Career Team to develop value‑based proposals combining salary benchmarking, incentive strategies, and other HR‑related topics such as engagement platforms and psychometric assessments. Advising customers across industries within account management responsibilities, driving positive outcomes through Mercer solutions offerings. Stay current on market intelligence trends, including AI in HR, talent management, compensation benchmarking, and benefits strategy. Qualifications Successfully completed studies in business administration, economics, psychology, mathematics, or a related field, preferably focused on HR and/or compensation. Several years of professional consulting experience (level dependent), ideally with a focus on compensation. Strong understanding of data preparation, processing, and evaluation in compensation contexts. Excellent analytical, communication, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) skills. Fluent in English and German; French is a plus.
