Your responsibilities : Are you a Mechanical technician with a passion for challenging and exciting projects in the field of beam instrumentation for particle accelerators Then seize the opportunity Join the CERN Beam instrumentation group (BI) and be part of the team working on the study and development on the next generation of beam profile monitors for the North Area Consolidation Programme. You will be part of a multicultural diverse team working at the forefront of the scientific research working in a very stimulating environment that will help you develop your skills in precision electro-mechanics assembly testing and installation. Your profile : Skills : CATIA (2D & 3D) design and modeling in PLM environment. Strong communication skills. Eligibility criteria : You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State. By the application deadline you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is a general secondary education diploma . You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before. Applicants with a Bachelors Masters or PhD degree are not eligible. Qualifications : Experience in mechanical design and mechanical drawings assembly of mechanical components. The knowledge of the beam instruments field would be an advantage. Spoken and written English or French with a commitment to learn the basics of the other languague. Additional Information : Job closing date : 21.11.2025 at 23 : 59 CET . Contract duration : 24 months with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum. Working hours : 40 hours per week Target start date : 01-February-2026 This position involves : Work in Radiation Areas. Interventions in underground installations. A valid driving licence.
