Title: Senior SAP Basis Engineer Start Date: 12/15/2025 End Date: 06/14/2026 (Excepted extension long term project) Technology Platform Description: HS Global Services Site: Remote Description We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior SAP Basis Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of SAP systems to ensure their performance, security, and reliability. This role is pivotal in driving system improvements, collaborating with cross functional teams, and supporting strategic initiatives to align IT systems with business needs. This is a remote role, and we are seeking someone who thrives in a flexible, independent work environment while maintaining strong communication and collaboration. Key Responsibilities Administer and maintain SAP systems, including S/4HANA, ECC, BW, Solution Manager, and associated components. Perform installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations of SAP systems in on premise and cloud environments (Azure). Monitor system performance, troubleshoot critical incidents and problems, and implement performance tuning to ensure system stability and reliability. Support disaster recovery and backup procedures for SAP landscapes. Collaborate with development, functional, and infrastructure teams to support system enhancements, new implementations, and ongoing maintenance. Review, interpret and respond to detailed business requirements specifications to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future ICT capability. Coordination/Planning of Upgrades and Projects. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing system optimizations and automation opportunities. Prepare and maintain technical documentation for SAP systems and processes. Ensure compliance with company standards and policies, and security best practices. Technology scouting and run proof of concepts / Propose new solutions, liaise with vendors and define global IT infrastructure standards in SAP Landscape Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members when needed. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration. Strong knowledge of SAP architecture, including hands on experience with S/4HANA, ECC, and SAP BW. Experience with SAP migrations and upgrades, including those in cloud Experience with SAP migrations and upgrades, including those in cloud environments (Azuenvironments (Azurere). Expertise in database administration (HANA, Oracle, or SQL Expertise in database administration (HANA, Oracle, or SQL Server) Strong understanding of SAP security concepts and role.
