Responsibilities & Qualifications Leadership experience in a retail or commercial environment. Strong understanding of customer behavior in an omnichannel setting. Expertise in product quality, safety, and recovery processes. Knowledge of merchandising techniques and how to create a commercially attractive area. Familiarity with IKEA’s product range, IT systems, and sustainability principles. Business-oriented mindset with a focus on driving profitability and operational efficiency. Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure in a high-volume retail environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to improve processes. Excellent communication ability in German and English. A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work cross-functionally. Ensure all functions understand and contribute to product quality, safety, and recovery processes. Act as an ambassador for customer product experience, ensuring all quality and safety deviations are reported timely. Oversee the efficient management of the As-Is area, promoting a circular economy and reducing waste. Establish effective blocking and sales stop processes to prevent defective or recalled products from reaching customers. Set and track department goals, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement. Implement common working methods, tools, and processes to optimize product quality, safety, and recovery. Promote IKEA’s sustainability and environmental commitments, ensuring all waste is properly managed. Develop team members and create a succession plan for future leadership roles.
