We are decentralization advocates and builders at heart. Funded by former MakerDAO Core Unit members, our mission is to support web3 projects in designing and implementing their visions through cutting-edge Smart Contracts.

Our passion lies in Solidity development, crafting the foundational infrastructure for decentralized finance, DAOs, and Web3 ecosystems. For now, we operate under pseudonyms to protect our privacy and shield ourselves from authoritarian forces, staying true to the ethos of decentralization.

As part of the Spell Crafting team, you’ll certainly get involved in:

  1. Smart Contract Development: Design, implement, and deploy smart contracts tailored for decentralized applications.

  2. Protocol Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define blockchain protocols, standards, and technical frameworks.

  3. Security Audits: Audit and debug smart contracts to identify vulnerabilities and ensure robustness against potential exploits.

  4. Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize contract performance and gas efficiency without compromising security.

  5. Integration: Work on integrating smart contracts with web applications, blockchain tools, and related systems.

  6. System Architecture: Partner with blockchain architects to refine and enhance decentralized system designs.

  7. Industry Research: Stay informed about the latest blockchain trends, emerging tools, and evolving best practices.

  8. Code Reviews: Participate actively in code reviews, fostering a culture of constructive feedback and technical excellence.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Expertise in Solidity: Deep understanding of the EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) and advanced proficiency in Solidity development.

  2. Smart Contract Security: Familiarity with common vulnerabilities (e.g., reentrancy, integer overflows/underflows) and mitigation strategies.

  3. Blockchain Ecosystem Knowledge: Strong understanding of blockchain protocols, consensus mechanisms, and DeFi/DAO infrastructure.

  4. Optimization Skills: Proven experience in gas optimization and writing performant smart contract code.

  5. Collaboration Experience: Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and remote teams.

  6. Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with blockchain development tools such as Hardhat, Truffle, Foundry, Remix, and Ganache.

  7. Testing Frameworks: Experience writing unit and integration tests for smart contracts using tools like Mocha, Chai, or similar.

  8. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative and detail-oriented approach.

  9. Pseudonymous and Asynchronous Work: Comfortable with pseudonymous collaboration and the ethos of privacy in Web3.

Bonus Points

  1. Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.

  2. Experience with other blockchain platforms (e.g., Solana, Polkadot, Cosmos).

  3. Understanding of zk-SNARKs, ZK-rollups, or other zero-knowledge technologies.

  4. Previous experience working in a DAO or decentralized organization.
