As Global Director Pipeline Biosimilar Platform, you will be responsible for maximizing the value of internal and external programs in the context of the Sandoz portfolio through commercial leadership for assigned programs and strategic projects.

Major Accountabilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Project the commercial potential of internal and external programs by:
  1. Building a perspective on industry and disease area trends including emerging Life Cycle Management/value maximization opportunities for originators and biosimilars.
  2. Mapping shifts in key healthcare stakeholder's influence on therapy choice and access.
  3. Obtaining focused external insights on strategic portfolio and program questions.
  4. Creating forecast scenarios that consider development, commercial and IP risks and opportunities. Applying and advancing statistical methods to simulate pipeline risks.
  5. Liaising with colleagues in priority geographies and IM division/Onco BU on internal and external programs to share and obtain internal knowledge and to drive common understanding on commercial potential and key risks.
  1. Drive value maximization through competitive Target Product Profile (TPP) design within and across GPTs by:
  1. Translating innovator strategies and industry trends into prospective TPP landscapes.
  2. Researching technological innovations and their potential to transform health care.
  3. Contextualizing emerging therapy options with market realities (e.g. sustained affordability).
  4. Shaping TPPs to optimize program value.
  1. Develop and provide thought leadership on strategic pipeline questions by:
  1. Creating, leading, and contributing to cross-functional and cross-divisional initiatives that enable value maximization through molecule selection, product design and capability building.

Key Performance Indicators include: Thoroughness in evaluation and ability to contextualize market trends, competitive pipeline, established and emerging players.

What you'll bring to the role:

  1. A business and/or science background and degree is required. MD, science PhD or MBA with a focus in marketing or equivalent experience is desirable.
  2. Fluent English (written and spoken). Additional languages are beneficial.
  3. Minimum 10 years pharma industry expertise required, preferably in specialty.
  4. Mature matrix leadership skills.
  5. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking to bridge marketing and science.
  6. Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  7. Ability to align interests of multiple parties, and to be adaptable in a new and evolving area of the business.
