Job Description

As a Graphic & Motion Graphic Designer in the central Group Marketing team you will be working with all the business units of SMG Swiss Marketplace Group AG and joining a group of experts that is responsible for a wide variety of marketing activities ranging from brand design to performance marketing.

You’ll play a key role in developing our brands and shaping our face of the company by conceptualising, designing and producing graphics, animation, motion/video graphics, and other visual content.

Your responsibilities :

  1. Create visually compelling designs for digital assets and marketing materials, including branding and performance marketing initiatives. Eg. social media, digital media (display & video ads), web, presentations.
  2. Perform colour correction, audio editing, and other post-production tasks as needed.
  3. Edit video footage and integrate with motion graphics.
  4. Utilize graphic design tools/software to produce high-quality graphics, illustrations, motion graphics and videos.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand communication and design needs and deliver impactful visual concepts and graphic assets.
  6. Handle multiple projects and tasks while maintaining design excellence.
  7. Report to Head of Marketing Strategy & Branding.

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience in digital graphic & motion graphic design with a strong portfolio.
  2. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effect, etc.), experience with generative AI solutions (i.e., Midjourney, Synthesia), plus Cinema 4D or similar.
  3. Familiarity with branding and marketing applications, able to work within existing brand guidelines and defining new design concepts.
  4. Experience in creating and producing digital-first animation- and video-assets for marketing projects.
  5. Creative mindset with a passion for innovative design.
  6. Fast learner, adaptable to new design trends and technologies.
  7. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  8. Fluent in English, German or French are a plus.
  9. Bachelor/Master degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Production - or comparable certifications.
