A&M's Tax practice is made up of experienced international tax law professionals dedicated to providing customized tax advice to clients and investors across a broad range of industries. Since inception, the global tax team at A&M has enjoyed exponential growth. A&M's Switzerland Tax Team takes a truly holistic approach to the market, offering expertise across a diverse range of services—from Indirect Tax Services to Global Transaction Tax, Private Equity Funds Tax Compliance, People Services, Corporate Tax and Tax Compliance Services, Operating Model and Transfer Pricing.
Indirect Tax has evolved into one of the most complex areas of tax, presenting significant challenges due to tax authorities taking advantage of an ever-expanding toolbox of legal rules and formal conditions. Drawing upon our extensive expertise in Switzerland and wider EU-VAT matters, we ensure that the VAT position of our client's business is in accordance with the highest standards.
We are seeking an experienced Manager (m/f/d) to join our growing Indirect Tax team in Switzerland. This role offers an exciting opportunity for professionals with a solid foundation in indirect tax to take on more responsibility and develop their expertise further. As part of our team, you will work closely with businesses to optimize their indirect tax processes, providing strategic and innovative tax solutions, defend their interests during interactions with tax authorities, e.g. during tax audits, and providing compliance support. This position offers substantial growth potential within one of the fastest-expanding tax practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide advanced analyses and strategic advice on complex or controversial indirect tax issues, translating these into actionable and practical solutions
- Take an active role in indirect tax audit preparations and appeals, working closely with clients and tax authorities
- Engaging with international indirect tax Projects
- Work on projects aimed at improving indirect tax compliance and efficiency
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and guide clients through evolving indirect tax requirements
- Lead and mentor junior team members and deliver indirect tax training to clients
- Collaborate with senior leaders to identify and develop indirect tax practice growth opportunities
At best you already have the following qualifications:
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in Indirect Tax / VAT, gained from a leading Tax consultancy
- A solid understanding of (complex & controversial) indirect tax concepts and their practical application to resolve client-specific challenges
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and analytical skills
- Strong motivation for continuous learning and professional growth in Tax advisory
- An academic background in in Economics, Finance or Law or a comparable professional background
- Entrepreneurial and client-focused mindset, supporting our rapidly growing tax practice
- Strong communication skills in either German or French and English, with the ability to present complex matters clearly
