The Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) is a world-leading institute in global health with a particular focus on low- and middle-income countries. Associated with the University of Basel, Swiss TPH combines research, education and services at local, national and international levels. 900 people from 80 nations work at Swiss TPH focusing on infectious and non-communicable diseases, environment, society and health as well as health systems and interventions.

The Biostatistics Unit of Swiss TPH within the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health (EPH) is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Scientist 100% to contribute with developing state-of-the-art methodology to large scale projects on climate and infectious diseases, model-based disease surveillance and on applications of geostatistical modelling of very large health and environmental data. The successful applicant will join a dynamic group of statisticians and mathematical modelers working on a broad range of projects in the area of disease and environmental epidemiology.
