Responsibilities:

1. Engineer and manage company-wide PostgreSQL database infrastructures.
2. Work with cross-departmental teams to ensure the stable operation of databases and their applications.
3. Design, install, operate, and maintain highly available PostgreSQL database systems.
4. Provide support for our databases, conduct analyses, and troubleshoot issues.
5. Manage the database lifecycle and collaborate on IT architecture development.
6. Continuously develop and maintain existing and new PostgreSQL databases.
7. Offer technical support and advice in application development involving databases.
8. Plan and execute database migrations.
9. Actively participate in various cross-departmental IT projects.

Your Profile:

1. Experience in highly available PostgreSQL environments.
2. Proficient in shell scripting and familiar with automation.
3. Motivated to contribute knowledge, optimize processes, and successfully implement projects.
4. Enthusiastic about continuous learning and open to new technologies.
5. Completed vocational training and/or higher education in computer science or a comparable qualification.
6. Career changers with relevant experience are welcome.
7. Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL Server (including clustering).
8. Experience with cloud and container technologies is desirable.
9. Excellent German and English skills.
