We are looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to join our team and accompany our customers in Bern, which is a leading Swiss insurance company.

Your mission

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Architect to join our IT Architecture team. This role involves planning and designing the architecture of technical components, focusing on cloud-based and service-oriented solutions at the enterprise, process, service, and information levels. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of relevant experience and a strong background in Cloud systems, particularly within the Azure environment.

  1. Understand the needs and expectations of stakeholders regarding Cloud systems and architectures.
  2. Develop solution proposals and decision-making frameworks based on gathered requirements.
  3. Design and update technical components based on Go and Terraform, aligned with the company's cloud strategy and business objectives.
  4. Provide consultancy in software projects and application development processes related to Cloud architectures.
  5. Develop and enforce quality standards for cloud architectures.
  6. Plan and conduct design reviews of technical components and their architecture within the team.
Your profile
  1. Expertise in architectures, business and requirements engineering, data management/data engineering, ICT business management, ICT management, and information security.
  2. Strong methodological competence in project management, quality management, risk management, and service/design.
  3. Ability to handle complex issues, abstract thinking, effective communication, design and problem-solving skills, self-management, and social skills.
  4. Business knowledge related to administration, control processes, compliance, business change due to ICT, and competitive situations in the sector.
  5. Skills in orchestration solutions and a strong desire to expand expertise in the cloud environment would be beneficial.
  6. Fluent written & spoken German is required. English or French are also an advantage.
