About the Role

The Finance Analyst – Controlling, FP&A is responsible for assisting the controlling, budget planning, forecasting, and analytics support for the Corporate Division. The role requires partnering with the Department leaders, functional leaders, division finance, and cross-functional teams including HR, Legal, and GSSC to achieve performance by driving improvement strategies and pushing actions to results. This role requires ownership, control, and analysis of operating expenses of the business and cost centers. This role will be a crucial liaison, aligning and providing insights to business and functional leaders.

Your Team

This position will report directly to the Senior Manager Finance and controlling and is an individual contributor role. You will also work with an extended team in Global Shared Services responsible for corporate divisions.

What You Will Do

Corporate division and Global functions

  1. Oversee operating expenses and month-end closing across all regions for corporate divisions.
  2. Drive the budget planning for all corporate entities and cost centers, including partnering with business owners in preparation and review phases, managing the upload of the budget information in the tool.
  3. Provide monthly and YTD financial reports on Budget vs Actual, various economic data points on demand, ad hoc reports, etc. to cost center owners.
  4. Conduct periodic balance sheet review, variance analysis, and reporting.
  5. Ensure compliance with procurement processes, including GARNER requirements, PO-based expense approvals, and exception-based non-PO expense approval.
  6. Review and reconcile corporate FTE reporting periodically. Conduct balance review and variance analysis. Streamline inter-company cross charges and cut inefficiencies.
  7. Develop financial models to support improved analytics and reporting.
  8. Prepare and provide monthly financial reports (Budget vs Actual vs FCST) to corporate function leaders.
  9. Support Corporate Finance improvement initiatives, change management processes, transformation projects, and process improvement projects.
  10. Act as a sparring partner for peer leaders to increase speed, prioritization, and break down functional silos.
What You Need

  1. Chartered Accountant (CA or a CPA).
  2. 4+ years of working experience in Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, or Controlling (preferably SG&A).
  3. Excellent communication skills with the ability to support various functions.
  4. Self-driven with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  5. Proven leadership and collaboration skills.
  6. A good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP, IFRS) and related Finance and statutory requirements.
  7. Excellent strategic and analytical skills focused on accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail.
  8. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  9. Process-oriented with a best practice mindset. Ability to support various time zones.
  10. Impactful communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  11. Strong analytic skills – structured thinker and problem solver.
  12. Experience managing and leading improvement efforts to completion.
What Is Nice To Have

  1. Knowledge in ERP systems: SAP.
  2. Proficient in BPC and Darwin.
  3. Industry knowledge, prior experience of working in large organizations.
  4. Previous experience working on strategic workforce planning.
  5. Knowledge of procurement systems such as ARIBA.
