TaskAn exciting opportunity to work as a Robotics & Control Engineer in an aerospace technology company. You can lead a team of passionate GNC engineers and contribute to GNC design and development activities. Working with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the research and development of guidance and navigation control systems and their deployment on final UAV products.
- Define the Control Laws and Algorithm Architecture for the onboard automation systems, including the Flight Controls and Navigation Systems.
- Identifying possible failure modes and defining robust contingency Control Laws to maintain safe flight.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system engineers and mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to plan, design, develop, and integrate GNC solutions into UAVs.
- Defining and running computer simulations for the platforms (e.g., Matlab & Simulink).
- Work Package Management of a defined scope, actively driving the project work forward to achieve the agreed deliverables on time and within budget.
- Ensuring the integration of the GNC algorithms with the embedded system and executing validation testing.
- Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in one of the following: GNC Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- 3+ years of industry or postgraduate experience in GNC Engineering.
- Strong applied math foundations; ability to derive algorithms related to guidance, navigation, and control (GNC).
- Experience in linear and non-linear feedback control system design.
- Experience with Kalman filtering.
- Experience with sensor fusion algorithms.
- Experience with simulation development.
- Experience in C development for embedded systems.
- Experience with version control systems like Git, enabling effective collaboration and code management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, crucial for algorithm development and data analysis.
- Good communication skills, enabling effective collaboration.
- Fluent English speaker.
