Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine We are searching for the best talent for a Scientific Engagement Liaison (m/f/d) with a focus on lung cancer, located in Switzerland. The Scientific Engagement Liaison within the Medical Affairs Oncology Team is dedicated to lung cancer and supports the lung cancer team with a particular emphasis on medical education events, targeted nursing engagement and patient-centric initiatives. The position is customer-facing, with 50% of time spent in the field. Key Responsibilities Nursing Engagement: Design and implement training initiatives for nursing professionals, actively participate in nursing congresses and symposia, and promote digital interaction within the nursing community, with a special focus on lung cancer. Project Management of Medical Education Events: Organize and oversee lung cancer medical education events (MedEd), including planning, execution, and follow-up. Field Event Support: Assist in planning and executing lung cancer related field-based events, including coordination, administrative tasks, and HCC clarifications. Patient Advocacy Champion: Serve as a key contact for patient-focused topics and initiatives in lung cancer, foster exchange with patient organizations, and strengthen the patient perspective within the company. Congress Management: Coordinate cross-functional alignment before, during, and after congresses. This includes activities such as providing training, facilitating alignments, defining responsibilities, organising events at the congress, liaising with agencies for local congresses, and managing post-congress follow-up. Qualifications Scientific degree: Medical Doctor, Pharmaceutical or Natural Science university degree (MD/PhD is an additional asset) Experience in oncology and/or medical affairs is desirable Pre-existing knowledge in oncology and pharma industry / medical affairs or health care environment is considered an advantage Understanding of scientific research, clinical trial design/conduct and interpretation of medical/scientific data Ability to work with clinical & scientific data to translate and communicate into relevant information for clinical practice of HCPs and patients Effective collaboration and strong networking skills to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders Effective communicator with strong influencing skills and ability to discuss data with HCPs on a peer-to-peer level Affinity for digital solutions and innovative event formats High learning agility and open mindset for change This role offers the opportunity to make a significant contribution to advancing nursing engagement and patient advocacy in oncology, with a focus on lung cancer, and to actively shape cross-functional projects with substantial customer-facing responsibilities.
