Controller Fund Operations

Responsibilities include:

  1. Support the processing of orders in fund operations in the middle office of the asset management as a member of a team.
  2. Controlling the execution of the operational fund business e.g. billing processes, contract management, fee flows.
  3. Close cooperation with the counterparts in the custodian banks, transfer agents, fund administrators, tax advisors, etc.
  4. SPOC for outsourcing management and multifaceted day-to-day issues.
  5. Support with error tracking and quality management.
  6. Assisting with the booking of orders in the trading systems.
  7. Control of the cash flow of the funds.
  8. Controlling of the data quality of write-offs, performance shares, side pockets etc.
  9. Support fund structuring Projects.
  10. Control of administrative matters such as general meeting resolutions, changes in management etc.
  11. Preparation of regulatory and annual reports and manage fund taxation matters.
  12. Cooperation with various departments during the due diligence process of new investments.
  13. Assisting with the implementation of fund products in the systems until the processes are correctly installed.
  14. Review and control of updated regulatory requirements and investor investment limits in the systems.
  15. Implementation of risk controls to maintain high data and process quality.
  16. Communication and cooperation with various specialists in the Funds department.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's or Bachelor's in Business Administration, Accounting or Banking & Finance.
  2. Professional experience in asset management with funds in an operational function.
  3. Understanding of the fund Industry with e.g. fund accounting, fund structuring, custodial and banking services, fund taxation, fund investments, etc.
  4. Analytical personality with a hands-on approach.
  5. Attention to detail.
  6. Interest in managing workload efficiently and meeting fixed deadlines.
  7. Excellent organizational and communication skills as well as a strong customer focus.
  8. IT flair and MS Office skills.
  9. German as well as English.
