Position Overview As a Process Engineer you will be responsible for robotics (machining) and related core and supporting processes. You will lead industrialisation of processes and equipment in close collaboration with Shop Floor Operations. This role collaborates integrally with Operations, Project Engineering, Tool and Equipment Engineering, Shop Engineering, Machine Maintenance, and external vendors. Responsibilities Provide in‑depth expertise in robotics for machining, scanning, 3D printing, tool design, CAD/CAM and other advanced technologies. Develop, implement, and continuously optimise repair processes while strictly adhering to the quality and compliance requirements of OEMs, customers and internal guidelines. Systematically analyse and interpret production drawings and OEM procedures to ensure seamless process compliance. Lead industrialisation projects and define/implement corrective actions; assist in industrialisation of new repairs and development of existing processes. Apply lean and quality methods (Kaizen events, SPC, FPY, OEE, etc.) to continuously improve within your area of responsibility. Support root‑cause analyses and coordinate subsequent engineering measures for rapid, targeted problem resolution. Collaborate closely with Operations, Repair Technology, Tool Technology and Workshop Technology to ensure smooth workflows and sustainable improvements. Define and certify equivalent alternative consumables and processes to sustainably ensure efficiency and quality. Conduct coaching and training sessions to familiarise colleagues with top‑level programming and process standards. Qualifications Solid hands‑on experience operating and programming ABB industrial robots, including supporting offline technologies for CAD/CAM and Robotic Studio. Proven expertise in programming 6‑axis robotic systems and using offline simulation tools (e.g., ABB, FANUC) and CNC‑controlled machinery. Experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably in the MRO segment of the aerospace industry. Proactive, team‑oriented personality with high initiative and strong implementation mindset, with awareness of safety, quality, delivery and cost performance. Experience in project management and applying lean and quality methodologies (Kaizen, FMEA, 5S). Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in robotics and/or CNC programming. Fluent in English (C1); German (B1) is an advantage. Scientific/Technical degree MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
