Basel, Basel-Stadt, Schweiz Herzog & de Meuron Basel Ltd. Vollzeit

Initially as coverage for a colleague on maternity leave and as a long-term addition to the team, we are looking for a committed Legal Counsel to join us by May 2025 or by mutual agreement.

You will report directly to the General Counsel and work closely with internal and external specialists.

Your profile :

  • University degree (Master's) in Law, Architecture, or Civil Engineering (Switzerland or international); admission to the bar is desirable but not a requirement.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience as a contract specialist and / or generalist, preferably in an international environment.
  • Excellent English skills are required; good German skills as well as French are advantageous.
  • An analytical thinker with organizational skills for managing complex interfaces.
  • A goal-oriented and efficient approach to handling tasks and adapting to shifting challenges, all while demonstrating high personal responsibility and independence.
  • Skilled and prudent in stakeholder management.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Advising partners, architects, and internal committees on all legal issues that arise.
  • Reviewing and negotiating contract drafts and independently resolving all legal questions related to Herzog & de Meuron's projects.
  • Gradually taking responsibility for specific overarching topics while also providing advice on the projects within your individual portfolio.
