Assistant RM - FR / RN - Arabic is a plus, GenèveJob Description:A Wealth Manager in Geneva.
Key Responsibilities:- Client Management: Manage and maintain a book of existing clients, handling day-to-day activities. Act as an interface between clients and custodian banks for various requests, including account openings, KYCs, transfers, and credit card requests. Monitor liquidity in client portfolios and ensure timely renewal of money-market instruments (T-Bills, term deposits, fiduciary deposits, etc.).
- Reporting and Monitoring: Assist in preparing risk reports for managed and advisory portfolios. Help investment managers and portfolio managers prepare presentations (marketing, investment, etc.) for clients and prospects. Regularly update client portfolios on various platforms (management software, Excel, etc.). Monitor client portfolios to ensure alignment with client profiles/strategies and the company's asset allocation strategy.
- Order Execution: Place stock, currency, and other orders directly on custodian bank platforms or via email. Assist in calculating management/advisory fees and preparing debit instructions or invoices for clients. Familiarise with online tools and platforms of various custodian banks.
- Investment Support: Assist investment managers and portfolio managers in investment advisory and portfolio management. Support the investment team in selecting investment funds across all asset classes, maintaining existing lists, and developing new selections. Regularly monitor client portfolios to alert the investment manager or team about changes in held securities (price changes, risk, etc.). Produce investment proposals for clients or prospects upon request. Assist in managing discretionary mandates, including reporting tools, decision-making, transaction implementation, fee calculation, etc. Closely follow financial markets and macroeconomic news to report major events to the investment manager. Assist in producing macroeconomic and financial reports.
- You have at least 2 years experience as an Assistant RM in a Bank or EAM.
- You would like to become RM in the coming years.
- Proficiency in financial terminology and understanding of various asset types (e.g., studies in finance).
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills in French and English (Arabic is a plus).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Bloomberg, and other portfolio management systems and CRMs.
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude with a hands-on approach.
- Strong soft skills, including the ability to work well in a team and build relationships with clients.
- Swiss residency mandatory (Finma rule).
- Previous experience in a similar role within the financial industry for at least 2 years.
- Knowledge of KYC processes and liaising with custodian banks.
- Experience in order execution and portfolio monitoring.
