Junior Legal

DXT Commodities SA, an international commodity trading company based in Lugano (Switzerland) and operating throughout Europe and worldwide, is seeking to hire a Junior Legal to join its growing Legal department.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working autonomously or as part of a team. They should be motivated by deadlines and be empowered when under pressure. Reliability, precision, and the utmost discretion are paramount.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The candidate will perform the following tasks working in a challenging environment:

1. Assistance in drafting, reviewing, and supporting the negotiation of a wide range of agreements including: LNG master sale and purchase agreements, confirmation notices thereunder along with the related documentation required for specific transactions; LNG in truck framework agreements, EFET standard agreements, appendices and individual contracts, parent company guarantees, and confidentiality agreements;
2. Conducting legal research on legal matters in the energy regulatory sector and international trades in various commodities;
3. Supporting the Legal team in managing legal paperwork (questionnaires, applications, forms, letters, powers of attorney, internal policies, and procedures);
4. Editing and managing compliance documents by reviewing content, confirming accuracy of information, suggesting additional changes, and updating information;

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Professional requirements:

1. Degree in Law with excellent grades;
2. 1-3 years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house similar role;
3. An understanding of energy and financial regulatory aspects and/or European tax legislation would be beneficial;
4. Experience in an energy trading company is a plus;
5. Excellent knowledge of Italian and English; every other language is a plus.
