Technical Solutions Director

About the Role: As a Global Technical Solutions Director at Aritec New Materials Group AG, you will spearhead the development of innovative technical solutions that meet the diverse needs of our global customers. You will serve as a crucial bridge between our sales teams at headquarters in Switzerland and our current China and upcoming European production as well as our global R&D teams. This role demands a proactive leader who is fluent in both English and preferably another European language or Chinese, with a strong background in material
engineering and synthetic fibers. Reporting to Vice President Global
Operations & Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration and Interface: Act as the primary liaison between various stakeholders, including Segment Leaders, Key Account Managers, and R&D Managers, ensuring seamless integration of technical solutions with business goals.
- Innovation and Development: Drive the creation of sustainable and cost-effective technical solutions tailored for industries such as telecommunications, deep sea cables, and mining conveyor belts.
- Risk Management: Identify and address potential risks affecting release scope, schedule, and quality, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Quality and Standards: Develop and refine test methods and procedures, oversee the maintenance of the Product Release Calendar, and ensure all products meet or exceed performance expectations.
- Material Optimization: Contribute to the supply chain development, focusing on the selection and optimization of materials used in production.
- Communication and Reporting: Maintain open lines of communication with senior management, providing regular updates and reports on project statuses and outcomes.
Your Profile:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: You MUST have extensive experience in either telecommunications, mining, construction, cranes and with synthetic fibers. With a proven track record in a similar role within a multicultural and international setting.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and another European language or Chinese preferred, capable of professional interactions in both languages.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams across different cultures.
- Professional Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, and adept at prioritizing tasks. A proactive and hands-on approach to challenges.
