The Analyst Accounting for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for ensuring the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting of the assigned legal entities is complete and accurate. This includes, but is not limited to, group reporting, internal controls, issue resolution, financial statements and taxes, statistic reporting, leading internal and external audits, and other external reporting needs.

This position is part of the Europe Finance department located in Arras and will be onsite. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in closing month activities (Opex Fcst Vs Actual analysis, revenue/cost cut-off activities, intercompany reconciliation, accruals analysis and booking, financial statement review).
  • Payments, bank reconciliation & cash pool.
  • Control of expenses accruals for (legal, fiscal, finance, HR, etc.).
  • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Booking monthly payroll entries (including payroll related accruals).
  • Key contact with taxes advisor & tax review on a monthly basis.
  • Be a business partner for the General Manager to provide commercial support, produce timely and accurate site and group reporting and ensure high quality financial data is recorded in order to support discussion and drive results.
  • Support audit requests (internal and external) and ensure SOX compliance by maintaining updated documentation as needed.
  • Owner of US GAAP and FGAAP accounting activities.
  • Actively participate in ad-hoc projects.
  • Owner of French tax declaration and payment (including VAT and DES declaration).

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance / Accounting
  • At least 5 years’ experience in international companies as GL accountant.
  • Fluent in English and French. German is a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel with advanced experience using functions, pivot tables and X-Lookups.
  • ERP skilled user (Oracle and Cegid preferred).

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Knowledge & experience of US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and French GAAP.
