We are looking for a Quality Suppliers & Raw Materials Specialist to join us in our Quality Bulle Manufacturing department, based in our biotechnology and pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Bulle, Switzerland.

About The Role

Actively participate in maintaining operational activities within the organization in compliance with the GMP and UCB Quality standards, mainly related to vendor management as well as in continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Bulle Manufacturing department.

The Quality Suppliers & Raw Materials team is responsible for GMP compliance of raw material suppliers & subcontractors.

This position is at 100%.

What You’ll Do

  1. Responsible for the quality vendor process and application of it. Local process owner of this process.
  2. Management of the qualification of GMP purchased materials and associated vendors, service subcontractors (risk assessments, change controls, documentation, etc.).
  3. Management and realization of the vendors' audit (questionnaires and on-site) planned for the year.
  4. Responsible for vendors' quality agreement update and creation; and ensure their successful and timely implementation.
  5. Responsible for the annual review of vendors.
  6. Responsible for the vendor’s change notification process (analysis of the document, creation of report, and responsible for change control if any).
  7. Responsible for raw materials implementation regarding quality aspects.
  8. Active participation in updating and maintaining vendor documentation in the electronic documentation system (documentation with expiry, documentation with periodic review, qualification documentation).
  9. Active participation in SAP configuration for vendors and purchased codes.
  10. Coordination of relationships with vendors to ensure effective following of deviations, change controls, investigations, incidents, complaints, CAPAs, etc.

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience, and skills

  1. Master’s degree in Life Sciences.
  2. Knowledge of SAP.
  3. Demonstrated understanding of GMP environment.
  4. Very good negotiation, convincing and presentation skills.
  5. Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  6. Well-developed sense of discretion.
  7. Demonstrated ability to write-up scientific/technical documents.
  8. Ability to handle challenging situations, make decisions and work independently.
  9. Independent multi-task worker.
  10. Ability to coordinate multifaceted projects and to meet/respect critical deadlines.
  11. Sense of organization and priorities.
  12. Very good computer skills, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
  13. Languages: French and English (spoken and written).
