Project Manager - Health, Medicine and Science, IOCAs Project Manager you will have the opportunity to Support IOC Health, Medicine and Science area in the development and implementation of programmes.Department: Health, Medicine and ScienceContract Type: Fixed term contract (24 months)Activity Level: 100%The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including athletes, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), Worldwide Olympic Partners and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.If you are a Medical, Sports Science or Healthcare policy professional with extensive experience in research/policy, and the vision to build a better, and healthier, world through sport inspires you, this is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact to the Olympic Movement.As Project Manager for Health, Medicine and Science, you will join a newly set up department, and you will have the opportunity to Support IOC Health, Medicine and Science area in the development and implementation of programmes and initiatives across the Olympic Movement.RESPONSIBILITIES:Health Project Management and CoordinationCoordinate and lead research and policy strategy on critical health topics identified by the Olympic Movement, (e.g., sex and gender eligibility, clean sport, public health topics such as water quality and heat mitigation)Coordinate and manage health topics across IOC Departments (e.g., within broader IOC sustainability agenda, Olympic AI agenda, youth elite athlete topics, esports)Conduct literature reviews to inform HMS strategy and projectsLead consultations with Olympic Movement partners to inform HMS strategy and projectsPresent findings at conferences and IOC eventsHMSMonitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL)Coordinate with other IOC departments to establish and implement a complementary HMS MERL Framework, to assess the effectiveness, impact, and strategic relevance of the Department’s programmes and initiatives.Derive insights from data to assess trends impacting health of athletes and clean sport, the impact of the various activities and programmes of the department, to evaluate their effectiveness, inform efficient solutions and highlight their strategic importanceTranslate evidence into actionable insights for continuous learning, programme refinement, and strategic decision-makingSupport knowledge translation and dissemination of findings to internal IOC stakeholders and external partners across the Olympic MovementEnsure alignment of MERL activities with international best practices in sport, public health, and athlete well-beingOlympic Movement stakeholder engagement and collaboration across emerging HMS topicsAct as a contact point and coordinate the department's initiatives and engagements in programmes for public health and increasing physical activity, health and social outcomes in the population, including working with the IOC Olympism365 team, Digital Engagement and Marketing Department, WHO, UN and othersAssist the team in planning and delivering meaningful measures for protecting the health of Esport athletes, including working with internal and external partnersEngage other departments and Olympic Movement stakeholders to align standards and integrate AI into health informatics, anti-doping and diagnostics, setting the department's AI and data management priorities and ensuring cross-departmental collaborationIntegrate and provide standards for safe use of emerging technologies in athlete health and safeguardingIncrease engagement with IFs on health topics specific to their sport and informed by health data in the GamesSupport the Director and other relevant Anti-Doping leads within the IOC with the review and analysis of scientific, health and medical as well as public health trends and policies with the potential to impact the protection of clean athletes (both from risk and opportunity perspectives)Coordinate and assist in setting up governance and terms of reference for various IOC working groups relating to the health of the athletes in the Games and environmental conditions, such as heat, water and air quality, Games optimisations etc.Eligibility for the roleEducation (as a minimum a Master’s degree or similar) in a relevant field, such as medical or sports science, or professional experience deemed equivalent.Experience in business analytics and/or healthcare policy.Cross-functional collaboration.Planning and organisational capacities with strong experience in project management.Fluent in English with good working knowledge of French.It will be an advantage to have:Experience with knowledge translation and developing educational materials. #J-18808-Ljbffr
