As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).Your responsibilitiesCreation of compliance demonstration documentation, support the type certification of CS27 rotorcraftTo maintain the legal aviation & safety requirements in accordance with the applicable regulatory framework (EASA Part-21,J and CS27)Collaborate with other team members on technical level (S+F, reliability & maintainability, testing, analysis, …) to achieve a mature design of the system they are responsibleAssure system and product quality by : review and check of fabrication methods, review and check of assembly methods and installation processes to achieve a well-established manufacturing and assembly processesReview and check part and assembly drawings for the production and assembly of the part or system to achieve a clearly defined design according Kopter procedure and applicable standardsEnsure that the work is conducted by using appropriate aerospace analysis methodologies and in accordance with the applicable regulatory frameworks (EASA Part-21,J and CS27) and applicable business standardsUse computer-aided design 3D- CAD – software to create and check the project design to achieve a 3D defined model of the systemCreate and check technical specifications to achieve well defined process and product informationSupport certification test activity, namely experimental, environmental, operational and stress tests on models and prototypes of aircraft and aerospace systems and equipmentSupport theassembly and fitting of aircraft and components to achieve an understanding for the assembling process and improve the design and instructions of the systemYour qualification & experienceUniversity degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar related engineering degreeAt least 3 yearsof relevant professional experience in design of aerospace transmission systemExperience in certification of aerospace systemsExperience in aerospace system testingMinimum 3 years of CAD knowledge concerning handling and data structure, Siemens NX an assetTeamcenter knowledge an assetAt least 2 years of experience with understanding and creating manufacturing and assembly drawingsEnglish minimum B2 level (verbal & written)Our offerWe are offering an exciting job opportunity in an entrepreneurial environment with room to grow in every dimension.Your next stepIf you are interested, please submit your complete application documents in English including the following attachments :Cover letterDiplomasEmployment referencesPlease note, that this job is only open to candidates holding a valid Swiss Working Permit / EU Nationals / Swiss Nationals.Department of Engineering located in CH-8620 WetzikonTo apply for this job please complete the following form. #J-18808-Ljbffr
