MSAT Product and Process Science Engineer As part of Roche’s Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) team, you will work in an agile environment focused on shaping and continuously improving the production of highly integrated sensors and cartridges (S&C). Our responsibilities span from early concept input through efficient design transfer into routine manufacturing and ensuring robust product care throughout the entire lifecycle. Your Key Responsibilities Take ownership of product care activities within your squad, including managing non‑conformity notifications, leading investigations and root cause analyses, coordinating corrective actions, and implementing process changes. Operate in compliance with GxP‑regulated processes. Monitor production data and analyze key performance indicators to ensure optimal manufacturing outcomes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within sensor production. Act as a subject‑matter expert (SME) supporting operators during ramp‑up of new production lines. Plan and execute experiments (DoEs) in both laboratory and production settings to investigate issues and improve products. Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external partners across functions. What You Bring A university degree in Electro‑, Analytical‑, or Technical Chemistry, Chemical‑, Process‑, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline. Initial experience in a highly regulated production environment. Familiarity with GxP requirements. Ability to work autonomously and adaptively within a team, with strong self‑reflection skills. Open, solution‑oriented mindset that promotes collaboration. Interest in agile methodologies and project management techniques. Strategic thinking combined with the ability to set clear objectives and act with an entrepreneurial mindset. Experience in statistical analysis and/or data science. Practical programming skills (e.g., Python or R). Fluency in English and at least B2‑level German. Nice to Have Professional experience in a regulated industry, ideally pharmaceutical or medical. Knowledge of Six Sigma and/or Lean principles. Previous exposure to agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and project management. Understanding of chemical lab processes or manufacturing techniques (e.g., screen printing, dispensing). Experience with database handling (SQL, Snowflake) and software‑related projects.
