Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to own software solution architecture of a customer platform (not limited to) across multiple architecture categories and ensure its alignment with enterprise layer and data architecture standards. Each day, you will be responsible for the design and build, integrity, and quality of an Information Systems (IS) solution and associated IS services delivered to business. You will also showcase your expertise by consulting, advising, and supporting on the emerging of new IS solutions / services, or altering existing IS solutions / services together with skilled individuals in roles of analysis, UX design, quality in order to provide best support for divisional strategy. The work model for the role is: hybrid #Li-hybrid This role is contributing to the global business of ABB. Main stakeholders are our customers (internal business representatives) as well as consumers of our digital application landscape which mainly are ABB’s customers and partners. You will be mainly accountable for: • Design and maintain solution architecture at platform level ensuring integration integrity of different modules, subsystems as well as integrations between global and local systems following the enterprise architecture guidelines • Document the as-is and to-be states for data objects and relationship models, integration APIs and their utilization within modules and applications in relation with the business processes. • Lead activities related to feasibility analysis, technical concept definition, and oversee and/or assist IS teams in platform development • Ensuring that the IS solutions/services provide the required functionality, meet the expectations of business and are reliable, maintainable, compliant, and auditable. • Review and approve, signing-off, and build any solution to be implemented on ABB production environment, within the respective service line, ensuring required quality and safety standards • Control external service providers against required and requested standards • Contributing to IS problem and incident management by identifying and eliminating the reoccurring defects. • Build and maintain integration approaches between functional modules of the platform in close collaboration with Business Analysts (integration design, documentation, information/data flow) Our team dynamics You will join a constantly growing team of dynamic and high performing individuals focusing on variety of aspects to keep existing services running and emerging new ones. Qualifications for the role
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in design, build (code) and implement a large scale enterprise class web front ends and applications with proven competence in leading it’s solution architecture
  • Strong technical skills and applied knowledge in the following areas: Java, WebAPI, Angular and React, MSSQL, K8s and Docker, Cloud Environments (MS Azure preferred), Integration layers (Mulesoft, Azure Integration Services), Spring Framework, Entra ID, Event controllers (like Kafka), Microservices, CI/CD Integrations
  • Experience in working with ITIL environment as well as Agile software development aspects where services and projects are mixed together for a common goal.
  • You are at ease communicating in English both from formal and informal perspective.
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
  • You must possess excellent analytical skills and strong business acumen that will allow to challenge status quo and get the best business results out of assumed projects
  • Superior experience in translating business requirements into IT capabilities and solutions.
