Diagnostics Global Direct Procurement (DOP) ist eine globale Organisation innerhalb von Global Operations. Unsere Teams sind global in sieben Ländern verteilt: in Deutschland, Schweiz, Spanien, USA, Südafrika, Indien und China. Diagnostics Global Direct Procurement ist verantwortlich für das strategische Lieferantenmanagement und strategische Beschaffungsaktivitäten für Fertigwaren, Zwischenprodukte und Rohmaterialien, die direkt mit der Produktion in Zusammenhang stehen, sowie für Logistikdienstleistungen und Produktsoftware. Diagnostics Global Direct Procurement ist dabei untergliedert in Delivery, Enablement, Category, Value Engineering sowie Strategy & Change.

Die Position

Das Value Engineering Team konzentriert sich auf Should Cost Modelling / Kalkulation, Value Engineering und Cost Excellence. Als Value Engineer (m/w/d) Electronics bist Du zentraler Bestandteil des End-to-End Value Engineering Prozesses bei Roche Diagnostics. Dich erwarten folgende spannende Herausforderungen:

  • Du erstellst eigenständig Kostenanalysen durch den Einsatz von Kalkulationssoftware und bist Experte sowie First Point of Contact für “Should Cost Modelings" und Kostenbestandteile unserer Produkte.
  • Du analysierst Cost Breakdowns unserer Lieferanten und unterstützt andere Teams in unserem Einkauf in Verhandlungen mit deinem generierten Wissen.
  • Du bist verantwortlich für die Moderation und Durchführung globaler funktionsübergreifender Workshops zum Thema Kosten bei internationalen Lieferanten oder internen Stakeholdern. Hierbei behältst du stets das Ziel der Produktoptimierung im Blick.
  • Du leistest einen nachhaltigen Beitrag zur Qualität und Rentabilität unserer Produkte durch Schaffung von Preistransparenz und durch die Identifizierung entsprechender Kostensenkungspotenziale.
  • Deine erlangten fundierten Kenntnisse über Schlüsselmärkte und Lieferanten sowie deine Neugierde für aktuelle Trends ermöglichen es dir, unseren Einkauf durch fachspezifische Schulungen wie z.B. zu Shouldcosting, Verhandlungstaktiken und neuen Technologien kontinuierlich upzuskillen.
Wer Du Bist
  • Du bringst einen Abschluss (Bachelor oder Master) in Electrical Engineering, Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen oder Betriebswirt mit einer Spezialisierung in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen, Maschinenbau oder Fertigungstechnologie mit. Eine Promotion ist von Vorteil.
  • Mit 7 bis 10 Jahren Erfahrung im Cost- und Value-Engineering bist Du ein erfahrener Profi mit Kenntnissen in den Bereichen Prozessmanagement, Einkauf, Projektmanagement und Entwicklung.
  • Du bist ein Experte in der Nutzung von Should-Costing-Software und zeichnest Dich durch Deine ausgeprägten Verhandlungsfähigkeiten aus.
  • Dein analytisches und konzeptionelles Denken erlaubt es Dir, komplexe Zusammenhänge schnell zu erfassen. Teamarbeit liegt Dir genauso am Herzen wie ein hohes Maß an Engagement.
  • Du verfügst über verhandlungssichere Englischkenntnisse. Deutschkenntnisse darüber hinaus sind von Vorteil. Starke Kommunikationsfähigkeiten, insbesondere im Umgang mit Senior Stakeholdern, gehören zu Deinen Stärken.
  • Du bringst fundierte Kenntnisse in Geschäftsmanagement-Systemen wie SAP oder Smartsheet mit.
  • Dein Interesse an technischen und betriebswirtschaftlichen Fragestellungen – speziell in den Bereichen Kosten- und Prozessanalysen – treibt Dich an. Erfahrung in internationalen strategischen Sourcing- oder Kostensenkungsprogrammen ist von Vorteil.

Diagnostics Global Direct Procurement (DOP) is a global organization within Global Operations. Our teams are spread across seven countries: Germany, Switzerland, Spain, the USA, South Africa, India, and China. Diagnostics Global Direct Procurement is responsible for strategic supplier management and procurement activities for finished goods, intermediates, and raw materials directly related to production, as well as logistics services and product software. The organization is structured into Delivery, Enablement, Category, Value Engineering, and Strategy & Change.

The Position

The Value Engineering team focuses on Should Cost Modelling/Calculations, Value Engineering, and Cost Excellence. As a Value Engineer (d/f/m) Electronics, you will be a key part of the end-to-end Value Engineering process at Roche Diagnostics. Your exciting responsibilities will include the following:

  • You will independently conduct cost analyses using calculation software and serve as the expert and first point of contact for Should Cost Modelling and the cost components of our products.
  • You will analyze cost breakdowns from our suppliers and support other procurement teams in negotiations with the knowledge you generate.
  • You will be responsible for facilitating and conducting global cross-functional workshops on cost topics with international suppliers or internal stakeholders, always with a focus on product optimization.
  • You will make a sustainable contribution to the quality and profitability of our products by creating price transparency and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Your in-depth knowledge of key markets and suppliers, as well as your curiosity about current trends, will enable you to continuously upskill our procurement teams through specialized training, such as Should Costing, negotiation tactics, and new technologies.
Who You Are
  • You hold a degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration with a specialization in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Technology. A Ph.D. is an advantage.
  • With 7 to 10 years of experience in cost and value engineering, you are an experienced professional with expertise in process management, procurement, project management, and development.
  • You are an expert in using Should Costing software and are distinguished by your strong negotiation skills.
  • Your analytical and conceptual thinking allows you to quickly grasp complex relationships. You value teamwork as much as a high level of commitment.
  • You have business-fluent English skills; German language skills are an advantage. Strong communication skills, particularly in dealing with senior stakeholders, are one of your strengths.
  • You bring strong knowledge of business management systems such as SAP or Smartsheet.
  • Your interest in technical and business-related topics, especially in the areas of cost and process analysis, drives you. Experience in international strategic sourcing or cost reduction programs is an advantage.
