Job Description:THE COMPANY:
Our client, established in 1974 by a pair of engineering graduates from a prestigious technical university in Turin, specializes in Numerical Controls for machine tools and high-speed milling machines, primarily serving the automotive and aerospace industries. Known for its staunch commitment to innovation, the company allocates over 10% of its turnover to research and development, ensuring its products meet the highest standards of precision and productivity. POSITION OVERVIEW:
A major company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to oversee financial operations and contribute significantly to the strategic direction during a crucial period of organizational transition. The CFO will be based in Veneto and will be integral to relocating key functions to this new hub, reporting directly to the General Manager. This role is central to leading the financial department and optimizing operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Oversight and Management: Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow management to ensure the stability and growth of the company.
- Financial Reporting: Develop and present accurate monthly financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Strategic Leadership: Work closely with the General Manager and other senior executives to shape the company's strategic direction. Analyze and interpret financial data to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- Operational Management: Lead the relocation of key financial operations to Forli, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to business processes.
- Team Leadership and Development: Build and maintain a high-performing financial team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the department.
- Financial Controls: Implement robust financial controls and governance frameworks to reduce risk and protect the company’s assets.
- Innovation and Process Improvement: Drive innovation in financial management practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Evaluate and improve financial and administrative systems, processes, and technologies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with investors, banks, and other financial partners. Ensure that all financial dealings are transparent and in compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
- Risk Management: Monitor financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Prepare the company for unforeseen challenges by establishing comprehensive risk management procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; an MBA or CPA is preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior financial role, ideally within a publicly listed company.
- Strong understanding of financial principles including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to develop and lead high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively manage relationships and communicate financial concepts to non-financial personnel.
- A dynamic and innovative approach, willing to embrace and drive change within the company.
- Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism.
