Your mission at Climeworks: Enable testing and validation of new technology ideas and concepts, delivering reliable results and striving for measurement excellence in our state-of-the-art testing facilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, organize, and coordinate test activities for new hardware components, new sorbent materials, and adsorption processes including developing test specifications and ensuring reproducible tests.

  2. Enable the collection of test data and prepare them for further usage, including ensuring the quality of test results and analyzing measurement uncertainty.

  3. Develop and optimize new and existing testing facilities and work in close collaboration with internal and external partners to design and build new test facilities.

  4. Coordinate internal and external work packages and suggest optimizations to current test setups and implement them after approval.

  5. Ensure that the measurement setup fits the required accuracy and purpose, allowing thorough characterization of the system.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on process engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  2. Possess at least 2 years of expertise in the field of testing.

  3. Knowledgeable in testing process design on large to full scale and have hands-on experience in agile testing and rapid prototyping.

  4. Possess knowledge in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and process engineering.

  5. Enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team, are flexible and adaptable, and show excellent communication and organization skills.

  6. Work independently, reliably, and in a structured manner, with a strong quality awareness and a willingness to learn.

  7. Proficient in English and German, and willing to travel up to 10%.
