Sustainable Procurement Specialist (m/f/d) 80 – 100 %

As part of the Sustainability Transformation team, you will play a pivotal role in executing our sustainability strategy. You will be responsible for defining and implementing sustainable procurement practices jointly with our procurement team.

Some of your exciting challenges include:

  • Developing and implementing the global sustainable procurement strategy, aligning with corporate sustainability goals.
  • Leading sustainable procurement initiatives and driving cross-functional efforts toward environmental and social goals.
  • Shaping, monitoring, and reporting on strategic KPIs, providing insights and recommendations on sustainability progress.
  • Driving stakeholder engagement and change management to adopt sustainable sourcing practices.
  • Analysing and enhancing procurement data to identify opportunities for sustainable sourcing.
  • Engaging with suppliers to improve environmental and social performance, including CO2 reduction programs.
  • Managing environmental and social aspects of supplier due diligence for regulatory requirements.
  • Preparing inputs for nonfinancial disclosures and ratings.
  • Developing and providing training to build sustainability capabilities within the procurement community.

You are an open-minded, self-motivated, and result-oriented professional with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Your creativity, independence, and adaptability make you a strong asset in diverse and dynamic environments. Your cultural sensitivity, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate and influence across all levels allow you to excel in an international matrix organization.

Further requirements may include:

  • Master’s degree in sustainability, environmental science, business management, or similar.
  • Several years of proven experience in sustainable procurement, in a similar position, or in a consulting role.
  • In-depth knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks and standards (e.g., TCFD, CSRD / ESRS, CSDDD, CDP), sustainability reporting standards, sustainability reporting tools and technology.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a global environment.
  • Proficiency in English and advanced level in German.
