In this role based in our Meyrin site, you will oversee day-to-day Technical Liaisons’ activities and on-time delivery of study set up for histology services, manage personnel to meet commitments to clients and department goals, and engage in continuous improvement of the services.

Managerial and Leadership Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Provide managerial leadership to the global staff.
  2. Communicate the goals and strategy of Central Laboratory Services, the lab, and the department.
  3. Manage all day-to-day delivery of services.
  4. Ensure testing quality and on-time delivery of services.
  5. Ensure that an adequate number of trained and competent staff is available to match the workload requirements of the department.
  6. Be responsible for ensuring client satisfaction.
  7. Be responsible for meeting established quality measures and on-time responses to quality issues as required.
Management:
  1. Provide support, as required, to the global department leader (director or associate director) and assist in the fulfillment of your responsibilities.
  2. Participate in and support client visits, audits, and inquiries to ensure complete fulfillment of requests and interests.
Performance Monitoring and Evaluation:
  1. Ensure quality and timely delivery.
  2. Ensure regulatory compliance.
  3. Coordinate departmental activities in support of other functional areas.
  4. Ensure on-time delivery of performance reports (TAT metrics) and response to inquiries from other functional areas.
Personnel:
  1. Recruit, train, develop, and retain sufficient supervisory resources for the effective oversight of the global department delivery.
  2. Convert volume forecasts into specific personnel resource needs and work with the department director to secure necessary and appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  3. Plan, schedule, and monitor the technical training and development of global departmental staff.
  4. Ensure an adequate level of appropriately trained staff is available and effectively assigned to meet the requirements of the global department.

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ management experience
  • Good command of Zavacor and SMART
  • Familiar with the Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Fluent in English, French is a plus
