The “Battery Systems” group of our “Sustainable Energy” Business Unit based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, is currently looking for a BatteryAlgorithms Developer.

Your mission

The mission of the battery algorithm developer is to invent, design, implement and validate novel battery algorithms that especially exploit CSEM's know-how and knowledge around electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. He works closely together with the HW and SW team to implement new algorithms on our zBMS platform and validates the new algorithms in practice together with the testing team. This position contributes to the growth of battery system team and the battery algorithm developer will contribute to the industry transfert of the curent research tools, e.g. the DRT analysis tool and its use in the BESTIMATOR framework.

Your responsabilities

• Modelling and simulation of battery systems based on Python, Matlab or dedicated simulation tools
• Development of suitable algorithms for battery state estimators (SoC, SoH, SoS, etc.) and control/optimization algorithms as well as their validation based on available laboratory data
• upport system integration and realization of BMS demonstrators, including system-level validation
• Documentation of scientific results, also including publication international journals or conferences

Your profile

Know-how

• Proven experience in Electrochemical storage systems and associated modelling approaches
• Knowledge in SW development and verification tools on PC and embedded systems
• Proven experience in Signal processing and control technique
• Modelling and simulation of electrochemical storage systems
• Experience in Design and implementation of estimation and optimization algorithms
• Knowledge in programming languages (Python, C) and BMS low-level programming
