Data Engineer 1 year fixed term contract with extension About the role As a Data Engineer, you will make an impact by building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures to support analytics and business intelligence. You will be a valued member of the data team and work collaboratively with data scientists and analysts. In this role, you will: Develop and maintain scalable ETL processes and data pipelines. Integrate data from various sources into centralized data platforms. Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across systems. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements. Optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency. Work model Hybrid position requiring presence in Zurich, Switzerland. What you need to have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases. Hands‑on experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop). Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts. Experience with Python or Java for data processing. These will help you stand out Experience with cloud‑based data services (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse). Familiarity with streaming data technologies (Kafka, Flink). Understanding of data governance and security practices. Exposure to BI tools and reporting platforms. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
