Civil Engineering Works Supervisor

Employment Type: Full-time You will contribute to a broad range of activities across two major projects: Site Consolidation and Long Shutdown 3, within the dynamic Civil Engineering sector of the Site Asset Management Group. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, technicians, and external contractors/consultants, ensuring the quality, safety, and timely delivery of various civil engineering works, including construction, renovation, and maintenance of CERN's diverse infrastructure. Responsibilities Managing and following up on work requests related to concrete, metal structures, building envelopes, roads/networks and other civil works for surface buildings, underground structures, and technical galleries. Launching and monitoring construction and renovation activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Coordinating multiple trades to ensure smooth execution and adherence to safety and quality standards. Performing regular on‑site inspections and ensuring enforcement of CERN's safety rules. Conducting quality control checks and supervising contractors' daily activities. Verifying the proper execution of works and ensuring compliance with specifications and schedules. Managing budgetary aspects: reviewing quotations, launching orders, and validating contractors' final measurements. Maintenance and operation of buildings or civil engineering infrastructures. Proven experience in coordinating multi‑technical trades. You have a professional background in Civil Engineering (or a related field) and have either: a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post‑graduation professional experience; or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post‑graduation professional experience. You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
