Production Technology Strategist Inserts (m/f/d)
Locations: Münsingen, Tübingen
Your Responsibilities:- An essential part of your tasks will be the continuous improvement of process reliability, productivity of production processes & product quality, the development of new processes by challenging the status quo in insert production and the industrialization of new products.
- You will support the new product development by providing production technology input.
- Further, you will support and lead the transfer of products between different production sites (including technology know-how).
- Investment validation: Validate technical choices for production related investment will also be part of your area of responsibility.
- Contributing to the Global Operations and Production Technology strategy in regard to insert production will be one of your goals.
- Market monitoring: You will monitor markets for new technological improvements and analyze their benefits from a financial and technical point of view.
- You will be responsible for actively maintaining networks within Sandvik Group and with external partners, e.g., machine tool builders, research institutions etc.
- You hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Production or Industrial Engineering and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- You have minimum 5 years of experience in any leading cutting tools, automobile or light engineering industry in the field of manufacturing in a multinational environment.
- Further, you have excellent knowledge in manufacturing processes (focus on inserts) and cutting tools.
- Besides your passion for new technology as well as for implementing new technical solutions, a strategic, solution and target oriented thinking is essential to you.
- Project management skills and team motivation, priorities & conflict management as well as negotiation skills are key.
- You enjoy relation and network building (within Sandvik & external partners).
- You are fluent in English (oral and written).
- Willingness to travel globally (approx. 25%) and ability to work in a matrix structure.
