Hexagon is seeking an experienced Senior CyberSecurity Architect to join our team. This is a key role within our global security team requiring the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience, operating as a subject matter expert capable of identifying areas of weakness and providing a risk-based approach to solving tomorrow’s challenges.

You will possess a comprehensive awareness of emerging trends and threats, identifying and addressing existing or perceived gaps in coverage of Hexagon’s systems and data.

You will bring advanced-level knowledge and support enterprise-class security solutions, along with the ability to select, design, and implement new technologies to improve our organization’s overall security posture.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with our employees as well as partners and vendors; understand the corporate culture, vision, and strategy, and ensure our security initiatives support and are in alignment with the business growth strategy
  • Support divisional teams and project teams with security design, security requests or concerns
  • Educate and guide the organization in adopting Zero Trust practices; design and implement enterprise security strategies that integrate with existing processes and technologies
  • Assist during the creation and update of company policies and procedures regarding information security
  • Plan, organize, test, and document the implementation of new security systems and tools; define the success criteria and security requirements, and develop reference architecture, functional and non-functional requirements for proof-of-concept efforts and projects
  • Lead in performing threat modeling, security architecture review, and risk assessments of new and existing technical solutions
  • Mentor and train junior team members on the latest security practices, tools, and technologies to build internal capabilities
This is you
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field – advanced (Masters) degrees are a plus
  • At least seven years of experience in information security architecture, or risk management or security strategy
  • Hands-on experience with secure design patterns and architecture reviews
  • Knowledge of the architecture of information systems (network layer, operating systems, application layer)
  • Experience in designing and implementing Zero Trust architectures across diverse IT environments, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of network security, cryptography, infrastructure and cloud security.
  • Information security certifications are a plus
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the security implications of legacy and modern enterprise technologies
  • Considerable working knowledge of modern cloud computing services and the risks they may pose to an organization’s employees, systems, data, and overall reputation
  • Foundational knowledge of regulatory standards and legal concepts, including the majority of IT security frameworks and standards such as ISO27xxx series, CIS Benchmarks, NIST 800 series, CSP specific architecture guidance
  • Understanding of microservices and monolithic architectures
