OverviewDeltaV Automation Architect role at Capgemini Engineering. Capgemini Engineering is a global leader in engineering services, bringing together engineers, scientists, and architects to help innovative companies unleash their potential.Your RoleAs a DeltaV Automation Architect, you will be responsible for the design, coordination, and technical leadership of automation solutions based on Emerson’s DeltaV platform. You will define system architecture, guide implementation teams, and ensure alignment with business, regulatory, and operational requirements. This strategic role bridges engineering, IT, and quality and supports digital transformation initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and document automation architecture using DeltaV for greenfield and brownfield projectsLead the design of control strategies, batch processes (S88), and system integrationCoordinate implementation across internal teams and external partnersEnsure alignment with GAMP5, GxP, and data integrity standardsOversee FAT/SAT, commissioning, and qualification activitiesAct as technical authority during project lifecycle, from concept to handoverSupport automation roadmap development and technology selectionProvide mentorship and guidance to automation engineers and developersSkills and Experience10+ years of experience with Emerson DeltaV systems, including architecture and designStrong expertise in batch automation, S88, and regulated manufacturing environmentsProven experience in leading automation projects in the life sciences sectorDeep understanding of validation, compliance, and documentation standardsFluent in English; German and/or French are a strong assetExperience with integration to MES, historians (e.g., PI), and ERP systemsFamiliarity with cybersecurity and network architecture in OT environments is a plusWhat you’ll love about working hereAccess to over 60,000 hours of world-class training via our engineering academy, with focus on Generative AI, data science, and sustainabilityHybrid working for flexibility and work-life balanceDiverse teams fostering innovation and inclusive collaborationAdditional benefits such as 5 weeks of vacation, employee referral bonus, company shares program, and annual fitness subscription contributionEmployment detailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Engineering and Information TechnologyCapgemini Switzerland is an equal opportunity employer.
