Engineering Manager, ISR Applications

As our Engineering Manager, ISR Applications for Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) platforms, you will lead a product-oriented team which focuses on designing, implementing and deploying end-to-end user workflows. With a focus on intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) functionality you will deliver state of the art technology for aerial robotic systems. You will direct a cross functional team of UI, Flight Control, Embedded and Test engineers to work hand in hand with our drone OEM partners to solve challenging problems and deliver amazing experiences to our customers.Responsibilities and Duties:Lead and manage a team of exceptional engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high levels of motivation, productivity, and collaborationDevelop and execute project plans, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet or exceed quality standardsDrive the development of new features, improvements, and innovations in drone technology to maintain a competitive edge in the marketAdvise engineers in architectural design decisions and help foster collaboration across different teamsCoordinate with external partners and manufacturers to ensure seamless integration of drone systemsImplement and maintain robust testing and quality assurance processes to guarantee the reliability, safety, and performance of drone systemsCollaborate with engineers to solve complex technical challenges related to drone design, propulsion systems, sensors, and control systemsCommunicate effectively with stakeholders, including executives, program managers and team members. Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and opportunitiesQualifications and Skills:3+ years of experience in leading engineering teamsExperience delivering robotic systems on significant government programsApplies engineering strategies to meet business needs and resolve technical constraintsProficient in C/C++ development on Windows, Android and Linux platformsExperience with Qt/QML FrameworkStrong written and verbal communication skills to keep a global team fully informedWillingness to travel and meet with end customers including into elevated risk areasExperience working with the QGC and PX4 ecosystem is a plusStock OptionsCompany pension planCar parkingEnhanced maternity & paternity leaveMental health and wellbeing supportLearning and development opportunitiesAbout AuterionWe are building the leading software platform for AI-powered autonomous systems for enterprise and government customers.
