Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide high-quality accounting, reporting, tax and payroll related services to client companies with timeliness and efficiency
  2. Bookkeeping for Swiss and foreign client companies under adequate GAAP (all types, all usual GAAPs)
  3. Preparation and review of periodic reporting and year-end closing including year-end adjustments for client companies, including consolidated client entity groups
  4. Preparation and review of financial statements and associated notes
  5. Preparation and review of simple tax returns and associated analysis
  6. Preparation and review of VAT returns and associated analysis
  7. Manage client relations for a portfolio of client entities
  8. Ensure high quality service delivery for all entities allocated
  9. Manage relationships with tax advisor, legal advisors, tax authorities and auditors
  10. Accurate registration of time spent during working days, and overall productivity management
  11. Adhere to policies as set down in TMF’s procedures manual and accounting procedures
  12. Assistance to Payroll section for specific accounting issues
  13. Supervision and control of a portfolio of key client entities
  14. Technical research on specific accounting and tax issues
  15. Keep informed of developments of Swiss Gaap, international accounting standards and Swiss payroll related subjects and ensure compliance at all time

Key Requirements

  1. Accounting degree, or appropriate degree with relevant experience in performing complex accounting tasks
  2. 5 years working experience in accounting (in house or client accounting) with in-depth knowledge of Swiss accounting for financial, industrial or services companies (payroll included), of various GAAPs (IFRS, US Gaap, etc.) and accounting systems, of the consolidation and reporting methods
  3. Fiduciary experience is preferred
  4. In-depth knowledge of Swiss accounting specifics
  5. Proven experience in managing client relationships
  6. Team player
  7. Able to plan and delivery in a timely manner
  8. Fluent in French and English in word and writing.
  9. Knowledge of any other language is an advantage
  10. Proficient with Microsoft Office
  11. Positive, flexible, steady under pressure and able to exercise independent judgment
