About Our Client
Our client is an NGO based near Nyon.
Job Description
- Provide comprehensive legal support by responding to requests, analysing complex situations, interpreting the NGO policies, and recommending practical, risk-aware solutions to internal clients in various regions.
- Draft, review, and manage a wide range of contracts (e.g., donor agreements, grants, service contracts, MOUs) with external organisations, ensuring adherence to legal guidelines and securing necessary approvals from senior legal officers.
- Conduct in-depth legal research on diverse issues, draft legal briefs and documents, and meticulously maintain both paper and electronic records of contracts and other legal documents, using OLA's workflow tools.
- Enhance staff and managers' understanding of contract review processes, legal policies, and best practices by developing and delivering training sessions aligned with OLA's global training strategies.
- Assist in managing litigation and claims, including tracking cases, drafting briefs, and coordinating with external counsel when appropriate, while escalating unresolved or high-risk issues to senior legal officers.
The Successful Applicant
- Master's degree in law.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a legal role.
- Experience within an international organisation, NGO or similar setting.
- Being immediately available.
- Fluent in English and French. Any other language is an advantage.
- Excellent drafting and communication skills.
