We are looking for a Senior Pilot Plant Scientist to join our dynamic Pilot Plant and Innovation team in the Manufacturing, Technology, and Science department. This role is pivotal in ensuring process and product robustness and optimizing manufacturing processes performance to achieve our goals in cost, quality, and delivery.

Your day at Ferring

• Manage innovative projects by developing new solutions and by proposing new equipment design and technology to improve the productivity, the savings and the quality in production.
• Support, plan and/or manage the effective execution of pilot plant trials and process capability evaluations, to ensure the robustness of our manufacturing processes.
• Support, facilitate, contribute to or manage strategic, innovative and cross-functional projects/tasks.
• Manage or participate in technology implementing projects or technology transfer in the pilot plant, within Ferring manufacturing network.
• Manage or participate in feasibility studies of new formulation of oral solid dosage forms in the Pilot Plant.
• Develop and maintain data scientific knowledge (such data analysis and statistical modeling), be the point of contact of data science related queries and support.
• Deal with and solve problems arising in the manufacturing process involving pilot plant processes and equipment.
• Lead and drive continuous improvement efforts for the production processes and testing requirements.

Behind our innovation…There’s you

• A Master Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a pilot plant or manufacturing environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
• Self-motivation, innovation mindset, initiative taker, can-do attitude, team player.
• Understanding of cGMP regulations and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, particularly at all levels including senior management.
• Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certification and experience in Design of Experiment (DoE).
• Solid experience with project management, self-starter, persistent, diplomatic, motivator, team player, people-oriented, effective leader, goal-oriented, PMP certified is a plus.
