The platform is a strategic solution for investment products and client portfolio management in Switzerland, EMEA, and APAC.
The system is currently a multi-tier resilient enterprise cluster implemented with a mix of open source, vendor, and proprietary technologies. 15+ applications are based on a Platform which includes technologies like RHEL, Spring Stack, Container Runtime, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Ignite, Oracle, Ansible, Eclipse RCP, React, Angular, Prometheus/Grafana.
We're looking for someone like that to help us:
- Maintain and upgrade existing technology stack
- Development of Ansible playbooks for release rollouts and operational purposes
- Enhancement of existing Platform service implementations
- Contribute to the Platform Modernization
- Provide 3rd Level Support of production environments
Responsibilities:
- Investing is a multinational organization inside UBS responsible for building and supporting the One Investment Platform, with the core team in Switzerland.
- You will work in Platform Team. You will be a part of an agile team of professionals, working in close collaboration with technical experts of 15+ applications and operations. It is a very demanding, fast-paced, and exciting environment.
Mandatory Skills Description:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience as software engineer for complex applications
- Working experience with at least one of the following technologies: Kafka, ZooKeeper, Elasticsearch, Ignite
- Extended experience in the JEE technology stack, Core Java, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Maven
- Experience with Apache/Tomcat on UNIX/Linux environment with shell script programming
- Working experience with Agile methodologies
- Working knowledge in tools such as GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
- Good communication skills and able to coordinate technical discussion and activities
- Self-initiative and comfortable working on a wide range of topics
