Join us as a Savoury Flavourist in Naarden, the Netherlands, or Kemptthal, Switzerland. At Givaudan, you will play an important role in a company that impacts billions of consumers daily reporting to the Technical Director. You will collaborate with a diverse range of national and international clients, enriching your professional experience. You will be part of an experienced team of Flavourists, where you can expand your knowledge and expertise alongside colleagues from several departments.
Main Responsibilities:- Use internal requests and market insights to improve formula design and industrialization for Savoury Flavours.
- Use the latest flavour technologies, ingredient innovations, and a unique palette of raw materials.
- Propose innovative ideas to ensure our customers benefit from exceptional formula designs that align with efficient production processes.
- Address regulatory and operational initiatives to maintain business continuity and deliver high-quality flavours.
- Support EE region on commercial briefs.
- Work with other teams, including Quality Management, Process Technologists, and Regulatory, to ensure optimal formula design for our Savoury flavour portfolio in the European region and beyond.
- Collaborate with Regional Innovation teams to implement the latest technologies for high-quality flavour production.
- Partner with regional and local planners to ensure flavour production continuity.
- Be a technical expert and advisor to commercial Flavourists, quality management teams, and operational staff, providing creative solutions to technical challenges.
- Train commercial and Regional Innovation Flavourists on optimal formula design for our production facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or Biology.
- 5+ years of experience as a Flavourist post-training, with a focus on Savoury flavour creation and industrialization; experience in other areas is advantageous.
- Fluency in English (both verbal and written) is important; proficiency in another European language is a plus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of raw materials, flavour ingredients, formulation, formula design, solvent and carrier systems, delivery systems, analytical methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in using tools for flavour creation, developing trial plans, and effectively communicating outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills to manage large datasets and ensure supply continuity during issues.
- Exceptional tasting skills with the ability to create and refine flavour formulations to meet customer and consumer preferences.
- Cultivate internal relationships and present Givaudan’s capabilities, collaborating with colleagues to achieve solutions.
- Experience working within a matrix organization.
