A Swiss company created in 2017 by the leadership team of Solar Impulse, André Borschberg, Sebastien Demont, and Gregory Blatt, H55 has accumulated design, development, certification and electric flight experience. Its proven track record in developing electric propulsion, battery packs and battery systems comes from having worked on and flown 2 Solar Impulse airplanes, the Twister Aero1 acrobatic aircraft, and the Bristell Energic. • As the technological spin-off of Solar Impulse, the first electric airplane to fly around the world, the mission of H55 is to make aviation clean, safe, and affordable.
• The company’s strengths and competencies lie in developing propulsion and energy storage solutions which are modular, lightweight, and certifiable.
• H55 is financed by a reputable group of investors from Silicon Valley and Switzerland, and as such, is well positioned for its next stage of development. The company’s short-term priorities include building up its engineering team, putting into place production facilities, and creating a North American subsidiary.
• At H55, you will work with a very forward-looking team who are changing the paradigms of air transportation. H55 is composed of highly experienced engineers, entrepreneurs and managers and is seeking like-minded talented professionals who understand how to couple creativity and innovation with technical and business considerations.

• Scope: Electronics, Plastics, Mechanical.
• Direct Commodities: Conduct thorough analysis of direct commodity requirements and spend.
• Sourcing Strategies: Develop, update, and implement effective sourcing strategies to optimize costs and secure reliable supply.
• Supplier Selection: Organize and manage supplier biddings, Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Quotation (RFQs). Evaluate responses and lead the supplier selection process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and all stakeholders.
• Contracts: Negotiate, create, and manage terms and conditions for contracts with chosen suppliers.
• Performance Management: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to monitor and manage supplier performance against agreed-upon metrics.
• Communication and Reporting: Maintain accurate planning documents and follow-up procedures. Clearly communicate project updates, statuses, and reports to management teams.
• Market Analysis: Continuously analyze market trends and identify potential risks and opportunities within relevant commodity categories.

• 4-7 years of experience with Electronics, Plastics or Metal purchasing.
• Mandatory experience in the Product Development phase, working with R&D teams in an industrial environment.
• University degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, or another related field.

• English at advanced level, French is a plus.
