Our Coffee Team is based in our Swiss office (Lausanne) which is supported by a Shipping Team that provides vital support to the Trade Desk by delivering our trade/contracts to our customers and suppliers.

About the Role

We are looking for a Shipping Specialist to work with the Coffee Trade team. The individual will be responsible for the physical shipments of coffee to our customers.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide logistic support to our customers and Origin countries
  2. Manage the logistic operations
  3. Monitor shipments, agreements, and all related documentation
  4. Check forwarders and shipping companies’ invoices
  5. Check & process invoices for payment and liaise with the Accounts team
  6. Process bank presentations & LC’s
  7. Organise timely deliveries to clients
  8. Provide shipping instructions and instructions to warehouse keepers
  9. Follow up on sampling, dispatch, and results
  10. Follow up on claims
  11. Follow up on inventory with warehouse keepers

Qualifications and Required Skills

  1. Holder of a Swiss Commercial Certificate of Capacity or similar education
  2. STSA Operator's Certificate is a strong asset
  3. Minimum 3 years of experience in commodities logistics, ideally in coffee or another soft commodity
  4. Rigorous, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  5. Highly organized with the ability to track and manage a variety of shipments within a busy period
  6. Proactive, with excellent communication skills and team spirit
  7. Fluent in French and English; Spanish is a plus
