As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
In this role, you will leverage the latest advances in language modeling to increase the quality and reach of ad applicants. You will have an understanding of the technology capabilities of Google's Large Language Models (LLMs) and match them with the product opportunities that can be unlocked through the tech. You will be comfortable with quantitative work when analyzing and visualizing data from logs, experiments, or production systems. You will work with data scientists, researchers, and other quality and infrastructure software engineers to accomplish the task.

Responsibilities- Own projects end-to-end from initial idea to design, analysis, and implementation.
- Perform model training, evaluation, and deployment to solve business-critical problems. This includes exploration of new model architectures, augmenting existing training data, finding better evaluation methods, developing new signals, and identifying headroom opportunities.
- Understand production systems, monitor, and optimize performance.
- Stay up-to-date with latest tools and research in the field.
